A Day in Valle de Guadalupe

One of my favorite weekend plans is, hands down, spending the day in Valle de Guadalupe. It's not a long drive from San Diego and once you get there, you'll be amazed by the charm this secluded wine country in Ensenada has. For a day in the vineyards I opted for a gingham dress and knee-high boots. It gets kind of chilly at night so I layered up with a turtleneck underneath and threw on an oversized denim jacket later at night.

Agua de Vid (Pancracia)

Agua de Vid is a cute boutique hotel I have been eyeing on Instagram for a while now. Its cool structure, laid-back vibe, and beautiful decor is why this new destination is a tourist hot spot. The hotel rooms are off to the side with an amazing view of the vineyards, while the 3-story restaurant, Pancracia, is located in the center. What I loved most about it was that each different area had the same amount of insane attention to detail to it. The photos below do not do it justice. If you're going to Valle anytime soon, you have got to check this place out. Plus, the food was amazing and the rooftop view was breathtaking.

Finca Altozano

It isn't a successful Valle trip without stopping at Finca Altozano. This time we didn't eat dinner here since we had previously gone to Pancracia, but we made sure to leave room for dessert! Located right next to Finca is a new delicious gelato shop called Ramonetti. It's small, but do not be fooled. Every flavor of gelato I tasted was out of this world. I ended up getting the choco-avellano (chocolate hazelnut) which was so creamy and delicious. It did not disappoint. After that, we walked on over to Lupe, aka torta heaven. We were still super stuffed so we took some tortas to-go for a late night snack. And if you thought I was done talking about food, think again. You can NEVER leave Finca Altozano without taking home one of their freshly baked sourdough baguettes. They are to die for! Now I'm done. Scroll down to see how aesthetically pleasing this place is too.

Wearable Spring Trends

Long time no blog! I've been so MIA lately, but I've been good about posting on Instagram. So if you're not following me there already, click here! Something I love about San Diego is that it doesn't get extremely cold. You could get away with wearing a light top and a jacket on chillier days, which I love because I am NOT a fan of bulky coats or lots of layers. And thankfully, the colder days are coming to an end because spring is only a few days away. So I've already started building my spring wardrobe and here are some of the things I have been loving: wrap shirts, denim culottes and mules. I will most likely be living in these pieces in the summer too because they're so comfortable and versatile. Today, I chose to style these three things together with some dainty gold necklaces (my all time favorite) and chunky hoops.

A Stroll Through North Park

Fall is finally in the air and I am loving every minute of it! I finally get to wear all of my cute jackets, turtlenecks and boots I've been putting on hold because of the unpredictable San Diego weather. For this comfy day look, I decided to wear a red striped turtle neck and a faux suede jacket to layer up. For bottoms I went with blue high-waisted jeans and for shoes I threw on the cutest blush booties. I got these velvet ankle boots online from Bershka on black Friday and they were only $20! Total steal! And of course, I can't forget my embroidered Zara bag that gets compliments every time I wear it. It's so cute and adds the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. This outfit was perfect for my afternoon walk in North Park. I checked out this cool mural located right outside Artelexia (the cutest Mexi shop ever) and then headed to Holy Matcha for a Coconut Match Latte that was de-lish!

Millennial Pink Chenille

Something I really like about winter in San Diego is that it never gets too cold. You can pretty much get away with wearing a skirt if you make sure to wear a warm sweater and over-the-knee boots. I love how this combination looks because it's casual, but not as simple as wearing just jeans and booties (my everyday go-to). Something else I've been LOVING lately is this fuzzy chenille fabric. I went to Forever21 and found so many sweaters in this cozy material and got a little excited to say the least..let's just say I have enough options to keep me warm this season. My favorite was this off-the-shoulder millennial pink one though. It's so girly and perfect for holiday parties/gatherings!
